Shop Like a Local in Ulaanbaatar

Shops are an integral part of any city’s culture, reflecting the spirit, creativity, and resilience of the people who own and visit them. While Ulaanbaatar isn’t usually promoted as a shopping destination, the city offers a vibrant mix of small independent stores, contemporary art galleries, luxurious cashmere brands, bustling markets, and non-profit craft NGOs. This eclectic blend makes exploring Ulaanbaatar’s shopping scene an experience in itself.

Our “Shop Like a Local” experience pairs you with one of our all-female team of trip assistants. Before the day begins, we’ll share a thoughtfully curated list of options and ideas, giving you the chance to shape your own personalised itinerary. Together, you’ll spend the day uncovering the city’s unique shopping scene — both by vehicle and on foot — with a delicious local lunch included to complete the experience.

For those short on time, a half-day option is also available.
