Solo Traveller? Everyone is Equal! What To Expect

We aim for local, fluid and flexible. We cater for those who typically travel independently (or have done in the past) but want a genuine Mongolian experience and are looking to do an organised trip but have trouble with the ethos of an organised trip. There’s no pressure to join in the whole time: you can be as involved or independent as you like.

All our departures run with a minimum of two. Our group sizes are refreshingly small with a maximum of six. This allows us to provide you with a more individual style of trip and the freedom of independent travel.

I think what’s key is people’s desire to experience Mongolia as authentically as possible. Our trips attract people from all over the world who love to explore, discover and share their passion for travel.

Are other single travellers mainly women or men?

We get slightly more solo travellers than couples. Numbers vary from one trip to the next. Generally the split between women and men travelling solo on our trips is 50:50, however in recent years there has been a slight rise in the number of female solo travellers. It does vary from trip to trip so just ask Jess when you enquire.

What About Nationalities?

As for nationalities - in 2013 and 2014 - UK, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Brazil and Israel.

What’s The Typical Age?

Ages range from 20s or 30s up to 60s or above. We’ve found over the years that a good range of different ages usually adds to the group experience. What’s key is people’s desire to experience Mongolia as authentically as possible.
